About me

Hi! My name is Xin Gu. I am currently a Master student in the Software and Societal Systems Department at Carnegie Mellon University. I am extremely fortunate to be able to work with Prof. Steven Wu at CMU and Prof. Gautam Kamath at University of Waterloo on private machine learning. My research interests mainly center around differential privacy and machine learning. I am looking for PhD positions starting 2023 Fall.

In my free time, I do a lot of tennis (self-estimated level 3.0-3.5). I also love playing GO. I obtained 5D when I was 10.
